Guy Poitiers-Lusignan was the constable of Cyprus from 1298. There is little documentation about him.

He is my 17 x great-grandfather.

Guy Poitiers-Lusignan was born sometime between 1270 and 1272, maybe in Cyprus, son of Hugh III of Cyprus and Isabella of Ibelin¹.

Titles

He became the Constable of Cyprus in 1289 and carried that title till death¹.

He took the title of Lord of Beirut when he married Eschiva¹.

Family

In 1291, Guy married the widower Eschiva Ibelin, Lady of Beirut^{1 2}. They received papal dispensation from Pope Nicholas IV on 7 December 1291¹. Together they had two children¹:

• Hugh IV, King of Cyprus.
• Isabel.

Death

He died in 1300¹. It is not known where he died, what he died of or where his family buried him.
