A descendant of the Felici family, Giovanni’s surname may have been the result of a typo in his official records.

This person is one of my maternal great-great-grandfathers.

He was born in Valletta, Malta1. He is the son of Michele1, who may have been Felici, not Felice, and Catarina Curmi.

He was 40 when his son was born in 18711, putting his year of birth as 1830 or 1831.

Family

He married Ludcarda Cremona, sometime before 18711, maybe in 18592, in Floriana2.

Together they had 6 children2 3:

  • Giuseppe
  • Antonio
  • Paolo
  • Maria
  • Rosaria
  • Maria Concetta

Notable events

At some point he moved to Sliema, since this is where his first son was born3.

In 1871, he declared himself to be a cook1 but by the time of his death he had become a trader4.

Death

He died before his son married in 19084.
